Cleaning Your Patio With A High Pressure WasherBy the looks of it, cleaning the entire place will take a very long time. And, you will think that it will require a lot of work in order for you to get your patio ready again for another big party. So, just how do you clean your patio easily and efficiently? Well, you can either do it the traditional way where you get a mop and a bucket full of soapy water and swab the wood deck like a seasoned pirate. Or, you can also consider the modern approach where you get a pressure washer and clean the deck easily and efficiently with it. So, here are the things that you will need and also some tips on how you can properly clean your patio with a pressure washer. Basically, you will need a water hose, a pressure washer, some protective clothing, safety glasses, sturdy shoes and sound suppressors. To start, you will need to set up the pressure washer as well as the area you have to clean. Remove everything that is removable in you patio. This means you need to remove the barbecue grill, container plantings, furniture, and other decorative items in the patio. And, since you will be using cleaning solutions and chemicals, you should protect your plants from it by covering them up with lightweight plastic tarps or drop cloths. This will also protect your plants from the high pressure water spray. Then, you need to set up the cleaning system. This means you need to set up your high pressure washer. To do this, you simply need to connect it to your water hose, which in turn is connected to a water faucet outside your house. Let the water run to get all the air out of the hoses and pump. The next step is to pre-treat the deck, especially on the heavily soiled areas. You can use the soap attachment with a cleaning solution to get rid of grease and grime under your barbecue grill. Then, before the soap dries on the deck, wash it off with the high pressure washer. The high pressure will help remove stains and loosen or remove dirt on the patio wood deck. Just remember to spray the deck with the nozzle remaining a constant 12 to 14 inches away from the deck. Holding the nozzle too close will result in damaging the wood deck because of the high pressure. After washing the entire deck, the next step is to let it dry for 48 hours. Lastly, you can apply a stain or sealer and allow it to fully drive. After that, you can set up your patio furniture and decorations and get it ready for another big party with your family and friends. With a high pressure washer, cleaning your patio will be very easy. You no longer have to do manual labor as the high pressure washer will let you easily clean the entire deck with very little effort. Comments |
