How to Use Mineral Makeup Foundation
First, get the best shade of mineral makeup foundation there is in the store. To do that, you have to choose the color that matches the color of your skin. Just to give you an idea, some brands classify their shades by fair, fair/light, light, light/medium, light medium/medium, medium, medium deep and deep.
Once you bring it home, go to the bathroom and then clean your face thoroughly using either soap or a facial cleanser. After washing, pat yourself dry with a soft towel.
Now comes the fun part. Open the mineral makeup foundation and before dipping it using your finger or a brush, tap the side of the container first. Right after, dip in the brush, swirl it a bit and then tap it on the side to remove any excess powder.
With a sufficient amount of powder in the brush, this is when you buff the mineral makeup into your skin. Do this gently in circular motions up and down your face. Put more attention under the eyes because this spot is often overlooked and when you are done, apply other makeup products so you add the finishing touches to your face.
If you are going to use some eye shadow, dip the brush into the mineral makeup powder then sweep this onto the eye from the base of the eyelashes to just beneath the brow.
You can also do the same if you are going to put on lipstick by dipping the lip brush into the powder to give a natural look when you finish.
For those who are not happy after applying blush to their face, you can fix this by mixing it with a bit of mineral makeup powder or by applying a second coat on top of the cheeks where the blush was applied.
Applying mineral makeup foundation and using the other stuff can be done in less than 5 minutes. You just need to practice a bit especially if you have always been traditional cosmetics.
The nice thing about mineral makeup foundation is that you don’t have to put too much on your face to get the desired effect. If it is warm, you don’t have to worry that it will run because this is one of the features of this product.
This means that you only need to apply this once a day and if you are too tired to remove this before you go to bed, don’t worry because you don’t have to do this before going to sleep.
When you buy mineral makeup foundation from the store, look at the ingredients written in the label, its volume and the price. If you think that everyone uses the same materials and sells it a little higher or lower than their counterparts, your basis of buying should be based on the net content as this will tell you how much powder is in each bottle.
If you are happy with the mineral makeup foundation of your choice, stick to it until maybe something better comes along.
