California Vacation: Lake Tahoe Luxuries

Having a vacation is one of the luxuries that many people don't enjoy. The lake is 1, 645 feet deep and it is the largest alpine lake in North America. Lake Tahoe is part of the Lake Tahoe Basin and is thought to be formed some 2 million years ago. The water in the lake is rich in nutrients. It is a protected area of California because of several activities that endanger the natural beauty of the lake.

The lake is home to many tourist activities including sports, tours, hiking and climbing. Lake Tahoe is home to many ski enthusiasts during ski season. It is popular for its blizzards and for providing a once in a lifetime skiing experience. Aside from the magnificent skiing experience, ski enthusiasts are likely to witness panoramic beauty. Some of the biggest ski companies in the state are located in Lake Tahoe namely Heavenly Mountain Resort, Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Diamond Peak.

Aside from skiing, water sports are also popular in Lake Tahoe. One of the main activities in that can be done in Lake Tahoe is boating. Boating provides access to many lakefront hotels that are abundant in the area. Some of the activities in the lake include sailboat racing, majestic fireworks and cruises. There are numerous dive sites in the lake which make it a perfect venue for scuba diving.

Hiking and biking are activities that one can enjoy while on vacation on Lake Tahoe. There are numerous trails around the lake which includes the Tahoe Rim Trail, Granite Chief Wilderness and Eagle lake Trailhead.

If you are a tourist looking for the specialty of Lake Tahoe, there are many restaurants lined up and around the lake where the best food is served. These food places serve sandwiches, vegetarian food, pastas and different food specialties. Some restaurants also offer a fine dining experience for couples who are looking to fall in love with each other again.

Arcade and gambling activities are also available in the area. The arcade are targeted for kids, teens and parents alike while gambling is directed to adults who want to enjoy betting g their money.

A California vacation in Lake Tahoe is one of the best moments that one can cherish. Lake Tahoe offers bonding activities to families, romantic events for couples and the perfect relaxation for workaholics. It offers a perfect get away from the bustling activity of city life.
